Confrontation as clouds rattle
Abandonment on the road
Wandering through life
Where I had been
In and out of strife
The puzzle now completed
Yet the questions still arise
On the road
Under the clouds
A settling voice
Which is much more wise
No words have yet been spoken
For which there are no words
I find little comfort
Except to watch the flight of birds
Which carry me with them
Beyond the clouds
No more further weeping
By those who walk with shrouds

"Eagle in the Sky"

On wings of
Eagles
I dared to fly
In open skies upon the plains
In search of flowing waterfalls
To cleanse me of my pains
Powerful talons enough to hold me
To never let me fall
From dusk to dawn
From moon to sun
To heed the distant call
Underneath the many stars
That conceal my open wounds
My multitude of scars
Upon the eagle's wings
Those winds that carry tunes
Like voices in my ear
I am safe from all that beckons
For there is left no fear

"Ode To My Muse"

Her heart's been broken many times
They don't hear her inner voice
They shake their heads and pretend to agree
In other things they want to rejoice
Her mind is such a lovely thing
She has a song to sing
I hear the melody in my heart
It pulls me like the reins upon my steed
As the hart enjoys sounds by a brook
It fills my inner need
I have not said so as of yet
In all these years I've known
A day will come when I will speak
To reap the seeds I've sown
I dream to carry her in my arms
To reside in her heart
And she will know that I will stay
Never to depart
For I know the pain she's felt
I've cried my tears for her
And sat alongside while she slept
To see if she would stir
I counted all the breaths she took
Each one precious as it was made
The image of her in my mind
Could never fade
For she is beauty of all that flows
Her gentle caring ways
To wipe the tears from her cheek
To spend my ending days

"Vortex"

Enfolded within myself
As the world around me thrives
My sensitivity
To the incoherent sounds
Everything that surrounds
From the many in the street
Who have such lives
Feeling the pain
As well as their joy
Like a stray dog who lives
From day to day
Surviving on scraps
From sympathetic passers by
The visions I have seen
Feed my heart
As I live within my own self
Upon the hardened sidewalk
In the jungle of concrete
Amidst the weeping skyscrapers
That hover above

"Mummification"

Forgivance is a hidden treasure
That abides within
My gaze into the valley
Seeks out unfinished pyramids
Muted in time
Solitude upon my platform
Within the mercy of isolation
Is a tolerable thing
Over such horizons
Where I have gone
Seeking out what may seem
Distant to all others
What is within my grasp
A spark within
The flickering flame
Cloaked upon me
In it's ancient form
It rests until called upon
In my own due time

Fluttering in the leaves
Under the bow
Feint whispers from the past
Clouds lurk in the quiet
It blots out the noise
As the sun deserts
In the wind
Revealed tears
Concealed fears
Time has quickly gone by
Raising my fist towards the sky
Though it may deny
It rises like steam
  Dissipating into the ether

Nobody sees past my surface
Behind a veil
Upon my wall
Past the inner most spark
Within the dark forest

It is beyond my gaze
Lost in the darkness
In the vortex of delirium
Unstoppable juggernaut
As a curse unto myself
What I reveal is a mere pittance
Compared to the plateaus
Which I conceal within my heart

Does the horizon seem
To never end
The sun seems aloof
As boughs of trees
Which seem to bend

On warm days amongst
Other fellows
Whose feathers seem
To kiss the wind

"Consumptive Invasion"

Within the world
Long forgotten words
In the expanse of all that has happened
It's significance of greatness
Overwhelmed me until
I could contain myself no longer
It then reduced me to tears
Then in all my fears that I might forget
The words appeared
Then faded quickly
Beyond redemption of my grasp
What was left were all the memories
Their intricate inter twining
Until I realized
I could not live without
For this was the true meaning of love
For me
