"Bribery"

Don't want to give us a little snack
This is what I think of you
We are the cookie and bannana burglars
Who inhabit this place in the zoo
See my tongue sticking out
That's what you get from me
My sister thinks you look like a goat
Can't say I disagree
Go away and don't come back
Unless you have cookies for us
Until then my friend I stick out my tongue
There is nothing left to discuss
We're only nice when you bring us snacks
We can make you laugh for some food
Now go get us something to eat right now
If you want us to change our mood

"In the Field"

Consumed in the fields of wheat
In slumber concealed
Miniscule regions revealed
Only high flying birds can detect
In these fields of wheat that sway
Accordingly the winds direction
Determines the course of the flow
These stalks will serve as bread
To feed the living dead
But not before I have endeavored
To dream upon it in my sleep
Until then the wheat will keep
It will remain silent and accept
My presence as if though
A strange growth of chaff
That thrives within the wheat
Walking about to and fro
Seeking whom it may devour

"Visitation"

We live in the midst of the clouds
In the wisps we quickly appear
Brief visitations for moments
But we are nothing to fear
Relegated to drift in time
We are the ancients from long ago
Floating objects in the sky
Witness to actions of the generations
In upheaval we hear the human cry
We question not the human reaction
It is not for us to judge
Free from bonds unlike people
Incapable of holding a grudge
Our state of being thrives in the energy
Hidden within the great shrouds
Thou art many-we are few
Who hide in the linings of clouds

"True Power"

When greed for power is forsaken
Commencement of filling the needs
Several photos viewed by all
While the rest of the world still bleeds
Control of the masses will cease and desist
When self centerdess is easy to resist
Issues will take a turn for mankind
The adittude of all things
Under the canopy of the heavens
A different bell rings
When it is realized that real power
Is able but not used in such manner
All races will together raise the voice
Assisting to raise the banner
Of all languages and kinds
It will become a willing duty
The bouquet of varied flowers
Will be a thing of beauty

"Adorned"

Jeweled feet of henna
You beguile me greatly
In your pose of nonchalance
Your casual display of toes
Painstakingly done in perfection
So that I may enjoy their beauty
It is the revelation of your heart
That you wish to surrender to me
Hidden in them is the voice of the bird
Which sings to the secret parts
Of my ears that hear within
I know your heart and sense its beat
Like a cool breath that reaches me
Then by that time it is percieved as warmth
Which brings relief to my chilled soul
You tread softly
So ever softly do you tread upon our dreams
With great care you tend to the needs
Like water upon the soil for the roots
For the tree that we gather under
The protection by its branches
As we slumber within the bough
Mystical rains fall asunder
It is all of this I see in your feet of henna
That you have prepared for me

"Don't Depend on Sand Castles"

Vast waters from the ocean
Engulf my castle walls
Valiantly they falter quickly
Many a true knight falls
Nobody falls upon their own sword
Surrender is not an option
Overwhelming in the fate
Enduring the unwilling adoption
The sands are returned to the place
From where they came to belong
Swallowed up as if into dragon's teeth
No time left for the strong
There is success in failing
Integrity is not just a myth
The waves like a juggernaut
Overcome the frail monolith
In surrender there is no shame
Valor in those who believed
The beckoning retrieves its claim
As fallen knights upon their steeds grieved
