Dismal road that's barely traveled
Where one may find
The kindred of a likewise mind
Between their shoes and my toes
A single crimson rose
Where minds may meet
Without consequence
Voices are heard without a word
In strictness of the resonance
From where it came and where it goes
A direction which it chose
To meet upon the lonely road
This single crimson rose
Within a heart that dimly glowed
A raven sits atop the cactus
Its eyes are filled with mirth
It takes notice to the tumbleweeds
And when the moon gives birth
To the stars that light the range
For miles it can see
Surrealistic images on mountaintops
Like lion's paws they are
Some are sphynx like in the distance
In most spectacular
Colors emit from it not yet born
Melding to the road
This single crimson rose bears all
Of that which hath bestowed
