"Entangled"

Dancing upon air in suspension
A child's dreams within its folds
Movement of action in the wind
In despair of its freedom lost
That otherwise would have been
Allowed to kiss the tenderness
Of awaiting clouds
Clouds that call out unto it
In a fit of rage it will bring upon
Thunderstroms that will pelt it down
And no other will know the love
Or sense the dream of the child
If not for the clouds for whom it was intended
This suspension would not be
This sense of freedom witheld
Distress in this inanimate object
Yet it is the principle that causes
It to dance upon the wind
In fruitless attempts to free itself
From the electrical manacle
Reaching up into the sky
With its artificial structure
It clings tightly to the intruder
In belief that it can hold onto something
That was intended to belong in the wind
