I am drawn to the child
Who is not my own
Then again he is also mine
From all of the seeds that are sown
He comes from a distant race
I look at the smile upon his face
His laughter replaces mine
When there were times I had none
He is content in his pool of water
His innocence is brighter
Than the brightest sun
It is an image to place upon my wall
When I sink down into my deepest of pits
One look at this child
My own mind immedeately admits
Reminding me that although
This child is not my own
Then again he is also mine
