Children of trees
In their gathering place
Seasonal changes
Upon their face
Quietly awaiting
Transformation;

Returning to the soil
Formed into mulch
They shall know reunion
With the trees
Roots patiently await
Their arrival date
A journey back to the top begins
Where they will once again
Become the children of the trees
