"Within These Twisted Boughs"

Intertwined in life
Growth in birth of seeds
Saplings at nature's mercy
Many suns have risen
Occasionally birds have fallen
Forked boughs clench
Branches do not stir
Death comes and goes
Leaves abandon them
Yet they mingle closely
Until decay sets in
Roots go deep searching
Hostile rebellion of elements
Under wary clouds
And skies that do not trust
Wisps of dust
Tree hearts mingle also
They know each other intimately
Refusing to reveal
Commnications are hushed
In whispers hidden by wind
Shaded glory thresholds
Trees speak but are not heard by many
Words taken for granted
Delicate phrases chanted
Upon a rare ear
That listens to the whispers
Hidden by wind

I really enjoyed this post, especially the “examples in this post” portion which made it really easy for me to SEE what you were talking about without even having to leave the article. Thanks
