"I am my Mother's Child"

In retrospect I am a man
Who does alot of thinking
I am my mother's child
In shallow depths of sinking
To reach the end as I search
Vast arrays of prisms
Those who oppose as I rose
To voices of the schisms
Colors that were not yet discovered
I saw in visions clearly
I am also my father's child
In whom I loved so dearly
Blood runs thickly through my veins
I am the flesh that thrives
Walking amongst all that flourishes
That either withers or survives
In darkness I contemplate
What I will do in light
My mind and heart shall meld together
Into primary insight
