"Hidden Wrath"

I was never morose or cynical
Anger was kept well inside
Others gleaned from my bones
While I silently died
Kindness mistaken for weakness
Misread signals from shallow minds
Neither looking to either side
Fixed eyes onto a point straight ahead
Shadows try to defy
Within my peripheral vision
They attempt to invade
Mocking the possibilities
Enslaving anyone in their path
This is why I have this inner wrath
My exterior is incidental to those who see
Ingredients of lust within their eyes
Superficial smiles looking for a quick fix
They take to me on flight of wings
Screeching to a halt as they swoop
Upon prey intensified upon
In the search of their desires
Beyond or below-friend or foe
Disgregard for the rising of the sun
Indifference to the surroundings
Brings no mind for concern
Each day is lived on the edge
Tainted survival is all that is known
And from it such weeds have grown
Becoming parasitic to every growth
A humans heart is not mourned
Rather it only signifies an ending
To be discarded and scorned
Moving on-trudging forward
There are still many more to overcome
Grinding bones into the dust
It is the way that they must
In the force that drives them
Marching forward
Into the abyss that has been created
By those with superficial smiles

"Secret Places"

Mingled trees upon the earth
Ebbing within is life
They speak in many ways
If you have the time to listen
Upon their ancient trunks rest
Visons from their time
Quitely they lull and observe
Taking in the vibrations
Each moment that goes by
Within is the creation of the seed
That brings forth new life
In their most giving deed
It is the small sprout in likeness
The newborn child that comes from its roots
Trees cast down lovingly
Not only upon their own kind
To all that is in life and nature as well
Fallen trees are unsung heroes
Cast upon the ground
Their children mourn aloud
Yet no once hears in the frenzy of the crowd
Softly speaking are the voices
A great thing has happened upon this day
Wisdom has been passed on
Their children shall grow and continue on
Recalling into memory the fallen ones
Dedicating their existence to them
In wonder as to why man does not do the same
Where words are spoken
Actions are not taken
The meaning of the words falls in weakness
Strong branches of trees cannot hold them up
Boughs thrive for their own sake
Fleeing leaves in flower escape upon the winds
To places where no harm can come to them
Safe from words that are spoken that have no worth
They are upon those winds to secret places
To dwell within the earth

"Fractal Landscape"

Incadescence of the fluorescent terrain;
A fractal landscape in one's own mind;
Diverse trees in muddy waters;
That shine on as if they had no place in time;
What is it called-that evasive thing;
An origin of life is in the way;
Just sit down and spit out another atmosphere;
Machines can do a good enough job to replace;
While were at it let's eliminate another race;
Of people or we can do a test on a species of birds;
Firstly and then go on from there;
You know what has been said-
Nothing more will be put on us than what-
We can bear;
The vacilating visisitudes of life;
Are nothing more than strife;
Dead fish that float on waters;
With neon eyes that glaze;
Infected cattle with the death rattle;
Barely standing as they graze;
pouring smoke belches out;
The whoremongers continue with their greed;
A sun that is red from toxic fumes;
Rusty orange clouds lurking;
Bituminous has replaced Anthracite;
Money has replaced love;

"Folded Hands of Henna"

Hands of henna you have touched me
I saw your art when you passed your hands
over my face and onto my ears
The eventual glow of your inner flow
Will fade upon my heart
Floral hints of an incadescent proportion
In an outline of fates that end at your fingertips
Talk to me while you are in your flow
And whisper things that take me with you
When you go

"Admiration of theTree Lady"

The tree lady sings with her arms stretched wide;
Deep are the roots to her soulful eyes;
She is the culmination of all that is pure;
Her giving branches into all that applies;
I wish I had a mother like that;
Who could look down on me with pride;
Alas I have no mother like that;
Who can sing to me by her side;
All I can do is look up and see;
Her face within the tree;
She could hold me steady like her baby;
And this I could forsee;
Her words would be found in the whistling winds;
Her song weaving through the branches;
Falling leaves that flutter to the ground;
In a steadiness like avalanches;
Upon my face with no disgrace;
They are like kisses upon my cheek;
The tree lady dear takes away my fear;
Oh how I wish she could speak;
A branch caresses my shoulder;
It seems as if to say;
You know your place,now you must go;
To find your own pathway;

"A dog named Mickey"

Hi there buddy-I've been waiting
For you to come home from work
Been resting on the couch on my little blanket
I see your little smirk
I'm sure glad your home-I missed you alot
Don't quite know what to say
Played with the cat and we took a nap
I thought about you most of the day
Didn't feel like eating today very much
But I'm feel like eating a bit now
First let's play a little with my favorite toy
If you feel like it anyhow
I'll sit on the floor while your having dinner
Then we will sit on the couch together
Watch some television-as you tickle me
Until it's time for the weather
After that comes my favorite time
When I get to jump on the bed
Everything is quiet now
As I rest on a pillow near your head
Soon will come one of those days
When you dont have to work however
I get to see you for an entire day
As I wish this could go on forever

"Oscar"

His name is Oscar
He's a sensitive guy
Sometimes he gets so depressed
He's a one man dog who's really a human
Who gets a little obsessed
I tickle his feet with a twist of paper
He looks at me with eyes so wide
All I have to suggest to him
Is that we go outside
It doesnt take long for him to get ready
Once he gets out he wants in
A few bites of food then off to the bed
And that's all he does from therein
Under the covers he sighs in relief
Waiting for his afternoon nap
Oscar is my little buddy
He is quite an amusing chap
Sometimes he lays on his back with his feet
Sticking straight up in the air
Making a hissing noise like a vacuum cleaner
With a grin on his face that is rare
It's a waiting game until nap time is over
Unless it is time for a treat
Then it's time for some fun until he is done
And he is once again beat
No big deal-its nap time again
Oscar is a guy who is clever
Every day is another adventure
He thinks it will go on forever

"Andromeda upon the Rock"

I asked for no pity or acknowledgement
Rather it came to me inquiring so
Rejection and misunderstanding
Has been a familiar occurence for me
My tears are connected to my heart
My heart is connected to my mind
It is inseperable from my body
Yet within my broken spirit is a secret place
Where no rejection survives
It is true that Apollonius of Rhodes looked upon me
This is the name his mother gave him
But she did not teach him about compassion
He is a bloody sort who holds the head of Medusa
Not thinking about anybody but himself
Therefore because I am aloof and forlorn
I am known as Andromeda
Like a band of stars that remains separated
From all planetary bodies
Within its folds is the secret place
Appollonius slew the dragon and took me
Yet within his passion remained an objective
I revealed my true heart to Athena after my death
It was I who chained myself to the rock
Poseidon summoned Ceto for the work to be done
I am the queen of men even above and beyond
The oracle of Ammon
My feet upon the rock was my message
Take heed to the lapping waters
In likeness to the people who task me
I am whitened like marble from vexation
My heart pumps sorrow through my veins
Chained to this rock I pray that it will end
My father the king does not know my heart
Though I am the queen to all men
There is no man that knows what I desire
Rather it is foolish folly for them to think
That it is passion which I seek
My secret floats upon the gentle breeze
Yet it falls upon deaf ears
I am undiscovered and remote
My tears are not noticed except in the heavens
In a place where I cannot be touched or heard
Only gazed upon in wonder
Tender kisses and sweet breath only existed in my dreams

"Query"

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I forgot to ask you,
Are You A Dream?
And since I've not learned
how not to want you
I've had to learn, by waiting,
how to wait.

I cling to expectancy.

Listen to my story when I hold you.
It will be whispered - a world
so full of detail, all of it so frail,
all of it for you.

And never lose the words
we make up. Write them
on your belly and let me read them
with my tongue and teeth.

And before we sleep
listen, in moonlight and breeze,
to the apples falling from the tree
outside our room,

when we have a room.

"The Magpie"

Precognition is imbibed in the magpie
He patiently in silence awaits
On occassion the killing of a sparrow
In submission to the order of fates
A magpie knows how to heal their wounds
Unto the mending of broken wings
Mocking the calls of the other species
In every melody it sings
It treads on unfamiliar paths
Knowing the ways of survival
It senses the coming of impending storms
Taking shelter before its arrival
Its implementation of time as a tool
The magpie is far from being a fool
Able to see far beyond the horizon
Its home is where it desires
Survival is the name of the game
In all that the magpie acquires
A magpie trusts no one not even its own
Blood of blood-bone of bone
Crows and ravens approach with care
The watchful magpie allows them to pass
In flight he travels to his secret place
Where no other may ever trespass
In his mind he is solid in all ways
Content to be free til the ending of its days
He sits yonder upon his own branch
Out of harms way in the light of the day
He is a sentinel unto his ownself

"Hobo Dream"

Another day under the sun
I'm on my way again
Grab ahold of the boxcar rungs
I hear the sound of the solitare wren
It sings to me each time I go
I hear it on the train
Rumbling over the rails listening
To the patter on the rooftop of rain
The sun is about four o'clock on high
By noon tommorow I'll be
Somewhere in the state of Wyoming
Sleeping under a tree
The night will come and I will make fire
Perhaps an old dog will pass my way
Together we'll eat some venison jerky
And enjoy the warmth of the coals in decay
Then a few logs more on the dying fire
As I stare into the fire with my gaze
My old friend the stray dog asleep
I think of the latter days
Of riding the rails with familiar friends
To the next place where the carnivals exsist
Another day-another way
Where time is never missed
It rolls on like the railroad train
All the faces are fixed in my mind
And I am inclined to leave behind
The discarded memories that someone will find
Written words on paper made on a whim
Or written upon the boxcar walls
A good tasting cigarette is upon my lips
As I listen to the distant calls
